Carlota Bandru, Scranton, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon in the Hershey Medical Center. Her husband is Joseph Bandru. The couple would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on October 23.
She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late Anthony Noto and Emily Noto Judge. She was a graduate of the former Scranton Central High School and also earned a degree in business administration from NEIU. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Elm Park United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, she had been employed in the business office at Moses Taylor Hospital.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mom, Nana, sister and friend. She will be remembered most by the love she had for her grandsons. The greatest joys of her life, she spent every free moment caring for them, loving them and making memories with them.
Also surviving are daughters Joanne Bandru of Vermont and Julie Miller and her husband Jason of Scranton; a brother Ronald Richardson of Florida; grandsons Camden, Coen and Carsen; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Gladys Richardson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 5 P.M. in the Elm Park United Methodist Church, corner of Jefferson Ave. and Linden St., Scranton. Officiated by Rev. Rees Warring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elm Park United Methodist Church, 712 Linden St Scranton 18510.

I was a classmate and friend to Joanne and remember playing with her at her home. I lived nearby and would walk (over the foot bridge) to see Joanne and her family. Life is so short, it seems like yesterday. My sincere condolences to Joanne and her family!
