Paul “Snuffy” Laskowski

Paul “Snuffy” Laskowski
November 24, 2011

Paul “Snuffy” Laskowski, Scranton died early Thursday morning in the Northeast Pennsylvania Hospice Unit at the Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. His wife was the former Rita M. Baker who died November 13, 2011. The couple would have been married 60 years in January.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Kostanty and Anna Burkowski Laskowski. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Scranton. He had been employed by Capitol Records for numerous years and retired from the Fitchburg Paper Products Company.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Northeast Pa. Hospice Unit at the Regional Hospital for their compassionate, loving and dedicated care to both Paul and Rita in their final days.
Everyone else knew him as “Snuffy” but to us he was Dad. He was a gentle, generous man that loved everyone. There was always lifesavers in his pocket and bananas in the kitchen.  He enjoyed feeding the squirrels, especially his favorite: “Joey”, listening to the polkas, playing the lottery.  Dad loved going to Scranton Miners basketball and Scranton Eagles football games with his son, Pauly and working on cars with his his son Steven.   Most of all he loved our Mom Rita (Toots).  Dad will live on in our hearts forever.
Surviving are daughters Bonita Sirianni and her husband Michael of Scranton and Brenda Greenfield and her husband Jim of Windsor, NY; sons Paul Laskowski and his wife Lisa Stafursky and Steven Laskowski all of Scranton; a brother Walter Pelsynski; sisters Mary Blau and Anne Gilligan; grandchildren Johnson and Evyn Stafursky, Isaac and Jonah Laskowski and Emily, John, Jessica, Rose and Cole Greenfield.
