Thomas J. Maher

Thomas J. Maher, a resident of the Gino Merli Northeast Veteran Center, died Wednesday afternoon. His widow is the former Hazel Gutgelsell.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Arthur and Myrtle Maher. Prior to retirement he had been employed as truck driver for Breyers Ice Cream. He was a United States Army veteran.
Also surviving are a daughter Diane Maher and a son Charles Maher.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the direction of the Vanston and James Funeral Home, Ash St., Scranton.
