I met your dad many years ago through mutuial friends, Tom Carroll and Mike Rock. We all enjoyed getting together at Zalinski’s for some adult beverages. Tommy was quick with a smile, and always a fun guy to be with, always had a story. I am deeply saddened by your loss.

It is a sad time for us (his sister’s family). Uncle Tom enjoyed life to the fullest. I will never forget the first time he visited us in North Carolina, I think in the early 1960’s or late 50’s. Up until then I had never seen a grownup so excited and enthused about a day at the beach. He was just like us kids in loving the sand, sun, cool clean refreshing water and waves. After a while we noticed he had white adhesive tape on his back spelling out his name in 3 inch letters, ‘TOM’. His back towards you, he was easy to spot anywhere on the beach or in the surf. He paid with his sunburn for that day but we got a kick out of his non-sun burned name standing out stencil-like on his back as he walked around the house shirtless the next several days. We will always miss him.
