Loretta Mantell, Scranton, formerly of Old Forge, died early Thursday morning in the Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness with her loving daughter Patricia at her side.

 

Born 1933 in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Mary Falbo Mantell and attended school in Old Forge.  She was a graduate of Old Forge High School and further her studies to become an x-ray technician.  She worked as an x-ray technician, a waitress in her brother’s restaraunt, Mantell’s and she retired from Haddon Craftsman in Scranton.

 

Loretta was a very generous person who would help anyone in need.   She always encouraged people to see the good in others and had a strong Catholic faith.

 

Surviving is a daughter Patricia Tomasetti of Scranton.

 

She was preceded in death by her siblings; and beloved nephews.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton.

 

Friends may call Monday from 9am until time of Mass at the church.

 

Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
