Virginia J. Campbell

Virginia J. Campbell, Scranton, died Friday morning in the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at the Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness.

 

Born in Endicott, New York she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Rosengrant Wheeland.  She attended the Immaculate Conception Church.   Prior to her retirement she had been employed by TOPPS, MAID-Rite Steak and Gress Poultry.

Virginia was the most devoted mother and grandmother anyone could ask for.   She continually put everyone before herself.   She was the rock of her family and leaves a huge void in their lives.

Surviving are a daughter Andrea Davis;  sons David and Gary Mikolon and Michael Mikolon, Sr. and Brian Campbell;  siblings Rose Campbell, juanita Pratt, Betty Pickering, Carol McPhillps, Geraldine Sharp, Clayton, Jack and Harry Wheeland;  grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son Francis Burke and a granddaughter Angie Sparaney; 2 sisters; 1 brother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday February 13th at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton.

Friends may call from 9:15am until time of Mass at the church.

Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
