Amy Lynn Fashouer

Amy Lynn Fashouer, 38, West Scranton, died Friday morning in the Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness.   Her husband of 18 years is Michael Fashouer.

Born Scranton, she was the daughter of Thomas and Linda Davis West of Scranton.   She was a 1996 graduate of West Scranton High School and attended the Jackson Street Baptist Church.  She had been employed by the Aramark Company in the cafeteria at Scranton High School.   She was also co-owner with her husband of the Property Preservationists.  She was an active member of the West Scranton Wrestling Boosters Club and the Junior Wrestling Club.

Amy was so many things to so many people.  She had an innocent spirit and fun nature so one would never be aware of how much of an impact she made on so many people.  She enjoyed it that way.  She treasured the life she created with her husband Michael and their three children Madison, Austin and Mason.

Amy touched the hearts of all who knew her with her positivity and kindness, especially in the wrestling community. She loved the sport of wrestling and loved to attend tournaments to watch her boys wrestle with Madison at her side.

Amy was taken from our family and her circle of friend’s way too early in life. She will forever be missed.  Her children wanted to enrich the lives of other families and donated her organs to The Gift of Life.

The family would like to extend our appreciation to Geisinger Medical Center ICU staff for their enormous compassion and support during such a difficult time in our lives.

Also surviving are her beloved children Madison, Austin and Mason; a brother Tom “TJ” West;  her maternal grandmother Dorothy Davis; father and mother in law Jack and Jean Fashouer;  many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; brother and sister in laws;  cousins and members of the wrestling community.

She was preceded by her paternal grandparents Raymond and Joan West and her maternal grandfather Kenneth Davis.

All attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10am in the Jackson Street Baptist Church 1206 Jackson St. West Scranton.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.

Interment, Chase Cemetery, Fleetville.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Michael, Madison, Austin and Mason and family would be more appreciative of your help on her GoFundMe – www.gofundme.com/amyfashouer. We appreciate all of your love, support and generosity in these difficult times.
