Robert C. Emery, 77, died Monday at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. His wife, the former Barbara Thompson, preceded him in death.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a retired quality control technician for a private contractor overseeing various nuclear power plants. Robert was a four year veteran of the United States Air Force and later served six years in the United States Navy Reserve.
Robert resided most of his life in Lehman, PA. He retired to Raleigh, NC to be close to his daughter and grandchildren. He returned to Northeast Pennsylvania upon his wife’s death.
Surviving are his daughter Diana Wydo and her husband Dr. Michael Wydo of Huntington Beach, CA.; grandchildren Brock (6) and Juliet Wydo (4); also surviving are James Ashton of Clarks Summit and David Ashton of Lehman.
Upon his request Robert was cremated; and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
