Rita M. Laskowski

Rita M. Laskowski, Scranton, died Sunday evening in the Northeast Hospice at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband is Paul L. Laskowski. The couple would have been married 60 years in January.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline Baker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Prior to retirement she had been employed primarily at Capital Records and worked in various other industries after leaving Capitol Records.
Rita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. An amazingly spirited woman that loved many things: feeding wild birds, especially “pretty boy” her cardinal, gardening, cooking, collecting Fenton glass, jewelry and her beloved dog Gigi. Mom will be forever missed.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Mary Ann McDonald for her kindness and compassion.
Also surviving are daughters Bonita Sirianni and her husband Michael of Scranton and Brenda Greenfield and her husband Jim of Windsor, NY; sons Paul Laskowski and his wife Lisa Stafursky and Steven Laskowski of Scranton; a brother Gerald Baker of Delaware; grandchildren Johnson and Evyn Stafursky, Isaac and Jonah Laskowski and Emily, John, Jessica, Rose and Cole Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by a sister Adeline Skull.
The family requests that anyone attending the funeral go directly to the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave Scranton.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.
Interment, St Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Greenwood Section of Scranton.
