Ruth M. Stubbs Caporelli

Ruth M. Stubbs Caporelli, Scranton, died Monday in the Dunmore Health Care Center after an illness. She was preceded in death by her two husbands Paul W. Stubbs who passed away in 1968 and Anthony Caporelli who passed away in 2006.
She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Josephine Engle. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Woolworth’s Department Store and later at the Penn Illuminating Company.
Surviving are sons Ronald Stubbs and his wife Jean and Gary Stubbs; a daughter Sherry all of Scranton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one nephew.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Lillian Seland.
Anyone attending the funeral is asked to go directly to the church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10am in the Covenant Presbyterian Church 550 Madison Ave. Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
