To the Little Sisters of the Poor, and family of Sr. Marie Gertrude,

I am very sorry to read that Sr. Marie Gertrude has passed away.
I will always remember her for her kindness to my Father and myself when my Dad was a resident at Holy Family. She, along with all the sisters were a great comfort to me as my father was dying at the residence in September 2010.

She had a great sense of humor and always smiled, even when she wasn’t felling well herself.
What a tremendous vocation for the many years she helped the elderly poor. I will keep Sr. Marie Gertrude in my thoughts and prayers.
May she now rest in peace.

    My deepest condolences.
    Sincerely,
    John (Sean)F.Igoe Jr.
