Angelina Minora Inzillo

Angelina Minora Inzillo, 96,  of Scranton, died Monday at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. She was the widow of Dominic F. Inzillo, who died February 18, 1979. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Angelina was the daughter of the late Amilcare and Assunta Auferi Minora. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School.  Prior to her retirement, Angelina was owner/operator of the Brunswick Restaurant and worked as a licensed manicurist at her husband’s business, Don’s Beauty Shop, both located in downtown Scranton.

Angelina was a loving sister, mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.  Angie was a world traveler and especially loved traveling with her family.  She was also an avid New York Yankees fan and great Italian cook, famous for delighting her family with her mothers’ recipes. Angelina was the epitome of a true lady who lived her life with elegance and dignity. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents and husband, her two sons, Dante and Louis Inzillo; a brother, Louis Minora, and a sister, Rosaria Stefonetti, preceded Angelina in death.

Surviving are daughters-in-law, Patricia Inzillo, Peckville, and Loretta Inzillo, Moosic; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Frank and husband William, Clarks Summit; Judith Inzillo Hartman, Jessup, and Janis Inzillo Neuser and husband Eric, New York City; Loretta Novajosky and husband Paul, Minooka; Dominic Inzillo and wife Maura Boland, Peckville; five great- grandchildren, Joshua and  Ethan Frank, Katie and Samantha Novajosky, and Nicholas Inzillo; a brother, Michael Minora, M.D., Scranton; a sister, Rose Howard, Dunmore; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her nephew Barry A. Minora M.D., as well as the staffs of both the Jewish Home of Eastern PA and Hospice Community Care, in particular, Kim Crinella, for the wonderful care they provided to Angelina.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave.

All attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church.

Friends may call Thursday in the Vanston & James Funeral Home Inc. 1401 Ash St. Scranton,  from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interment will follow at the Italian American Cemetery.
