Ann Gavin, a resident of Holy Family Residence, died Tuesday morning at the residence.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna Allman Gavin. She was educated at St. Mary’s and St Paul’s School and was a member of St. Mary of Mt Carmel Church, Dunmore. Prior to retirement she was a bookkeeper at A&P/Supermarket Services as well as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish for many years.
The family would like to thank the Little Sisters of the Poor along with the entire staff at the Holy Family Residence for their patience and support and loving care throughout her years there. Also for the care she received during her stay at Allied Terrace Assisted Living.
Surviving are her brother Stephen Gavin a resident of Holy Family Residence; Veronica Gavin, sister in law of Drexel Hill, Pa.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, James, John, Mary, and Isabelle, her dear cousin Mary Barry, as well as nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30am in the Holy Family Residence Chapel, 2500 Adams Ave. Scranton.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30am until time of Mass in the Maloney Lounge at the Holy Family Residence.
Interment, St. Mary of Mt. Carmel parish cemetery.
