Dorothy M. Morris
April 14, 2013
Dorothy M. Morris, a resident of the Abington Manor, formerly of the Cabrini Apartments, West Scranton, died Sunday after a battle with lung cancer and COPD.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Helen Sasack Morris. She attended Scranton Technical High School and worked most recently as a housekeeper at the former Mercy Hospital and also spent many years working in the garment industry.

They became a second family to Dorothy and her sister. The family also extends their thanks to the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their support and care during Dorothy’s final days.
She is survived by her caretakers, her sister and brother in law Rita Morris Selemba and Robert; a brother William of Spokane, WA; a sister in law Susan Morris of Hewitt, NJ; her godchild and niece Stacey Volinsky; nieces Kimberly Selemba, Danielle Shostal, Beverly Caputo Carey and Mia Morris; nephews David and Evan Morris; three great nephews; a great niece; several cousins.
