Henry M. Miller

Henry M. Miller, a lifelong resident of the Pinebrook section of Scranton, died early Tuesday morning after an illness in the Golden Living Center, Scranton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Moses W. and Cecilia McAndrew Miller. He attended the Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he was employed by the Kline Burger Corporation in Scranton.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed sports. He could quote any number of stats of a baseball team he was a fan of.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center for taking such good care of him.
Surviving are a son Thomas J. Miller, Sr. and his wife Collen; two grandsons Thomas, Jr and Cory J Miller all of Scranton; a sister Betty Dazinski of Florida; nieces and nephews including his nephew Ronald Miller.
He was preceded in death by his brothers John, James, Carl and Edward; his twin brother Thomas J. Miller Sr.; sisters Dorothy and Irene; his former wife Phyllis W. Wharton.
All attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30am in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church 316 William St. Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-7pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

I was privilaged to get to know Mr. Henry. He had a great outlook on life and enlightened me with many of his stories. His humor sometimes pushed us and then he would wink and give us that Henry Miller grin.The world was a better place for having him in it.
