Dorothy Rose Malott Kosiba, Petersburg Section of Scranton, died Saturday night in the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa.   She was the widow of Joseph J. Kosiba who died in 2002.

Born July 5, 1926 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice Connolly Malott.   Dorothy had fond memories of her early years growing up and raising a family on both Richter and Union Avenues in Scranton prior to the flood in 1955.  She especially was fond of the dances at Melody Gardens.  The family later moved to Harrison Ave.   She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  

Surviving are a son Paul J. Kosiba of Scranton; a son in law Joseph Migliori of Scranton;  her two grandsons whom she loved dearly Mario Migliori and his wife Janette and Anthony Kosiba.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Joann Migliori.

The family would like to thank both the staff of the Jewish Home as well as Dr. Thomas Minora for the dedicated and compassionate care they provided Dorothy. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton.

Friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:30am until time of Mass at the church.

Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Club of Scranton Charitable Foundation 404 N. Washington Ave. Scranton 18503.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston and James Funeral Home.
