Gerald Evanski, Scranton, died Thursday morning at home.

Born March 18, 1975 in Scranton, he was the son of the Donna Weber of Scranton and the late Joseph Evanski who died in 1977.  He was a graduate of Scranton High School and after graduation moved to California where he continued his studies and worked in the movie industry.   He was currently employed by DPS Nutrition.

Also surviving are brothers William Michael of Bloomsburg, Scott Michael and his wife Lynne of Scranton, Greg Evanski of California, Joseph Evanski of Bloomsburg and Kevin Evanski of Chicago; nieces Emily and Juliet Michael, Savannah Evanski, Chloe Evanski and Alexandra Michael.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Glenn Evanski who died in 1999.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 6pm in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5:30pm until time of Mass at the church.

    To Kevin, Joey, Scotty & Family: I was very sorry to hear about the loss of Gerald. He was a good guy who never meant harm to or said a bad thing about anyone. I’ll always remember his laugh and the good times we all had growing up in East Scranton. Lots of good times and Gerald will always be a part of my memory.

    We are heartbroken to hear about Gerald. Our family loved him and enjoyed the time he spent with us. I hope you are all okay.
