Thomas W. Hall

Thomas W. Hall, 71, of Scranton passed peacefully to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with his family at his side at home on Friday November 27, 2015 after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife, Michelle A. Gordon-Hall. They were married for 41 wonderful years.

Born January 5, 1944 in Sussex, NJ, he was the son of the late Mary Hall and his adopted parents, the late Laurence and Blanche Spicer of Windsor, NY. He attended Sussex. NJ schools, after which he served his country as a proud Marine. Before becoming ill he was employed at Arlington Industries as the third shift supervisor before retirement.

Thomas was a devout Catholic who loved his Lord with strong faith. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, West Scranton. He loved his hobbies, such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and the occasional trips to the casino.

Thomas will be greatly missed as he was a model husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a “very special” place in his heart for his granddaughters.

Surviving in addition to his dedicated wife Michelle, are his two sons, Thomas H. Hall and Brian J. Hall and his wife Sue all of Scranton; three granddaughters Dianna, Brianna, and Stephannie all of Scranton; one great-grandson Adrian; two brothers-in-law Howard and his wife Sandy Gordon of Scranton and Michael Gordon of Clarks Summit, several nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to extend a heartful thank you to the dedicated Celtic Hospice Group, especially Kathy, Loretta, Hilary, Clover, and Lori.

The Funeral will be Tuesday at 8:45am from the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30am in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel 1605 Oram St. West Scranton.
