Kathleen Walsh died Monday, April 25, 2015 at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Kathleen resided in Covington Township and received residential services from St. Joseph’s Center since 2007. Prior to retirement she attended St. Joseph’s Center’s Adult Day Program. Kathleen enjoyed all types of music but especially oldies, pop and country music. You would often hear her softly singing along to many of the songs. She loved going to the beauty salon, receiving manicures and pedicures. Kathleen liked to be outdoors at parks and sitting on her swing in her backyard. She will be remembered for her determination, her sense of humor and her gentle nature.
Surviving are her mother, Louise O’Brien Walsh, six brothers and six sisters and nieces and nephews, staff and friends from St. Joseph’s Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Walsh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am in the third-floor chapel at St. Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday from 9:00am until time of Mass.
Interment immediately after Mass at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
