Rocky Barbaro, Scranton, died early Thursday morning in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit after an illness. His wife of 34 years is the former Gladys Duran.
Born 1953 in Argentina, he moved with his family to Quebec where he completed his schooling before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Through his travels Rocky became fluent in 4 languages. He went on to become a carpenter. He believed in and loved Jehovah God and studied the bible.
Also surviving are sons Walter Baena of Miami, and Rocky Barbaro of Scranton; grandchildren Noah and Alexandra.
A memorial talk will be held Sunday at 5:30pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.
Friends may call Sunday from 3:30pm until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 617 Morgan Highway Scranton, Pa. 18508.
