Mary L. Morgan, 92, West Scranton, died Friday morning in the Allied Skilled Nursing Center after an illness. She was the widow James Morgan who died in 1984.
Born Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Harris Mapleson. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and prior to her retirement she had been employed as a sales clerk for the former Globe Store. She was a member of the Jackson Street Baptist Church, West Scranton.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family very much.
Surviving are a son David Morgan and a daughter Carol Morgan both of Scranton; five grandchildren Tom Morgan, Nicole Mariotti, James Morgan, David Morgan and Teresa Morgan; four great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Thomas Morgan.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10am in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton by Rev. Teresa Doughty, chaplain of the Allied Services Hospice.
Friends may call Monday morning from 9am until time of service.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
