Barbara “Dolly” Zymblosky, West Mountain Section of Scranton, died Wednesday in the Riverside Rehabilation and Nursing Center, Taylor after an illness. She was the widow of John Zymblosky who died in 1978.
Born in 1939 in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Furguson Bartels. She was of the Catholic faith. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by WEA Manufacturing as an assembler.
Surviving are daughters Linda Barthold and her husband David of Scranton, Jackie Gillick and her husband Eric of Harford and Bobbie Begin of Scranton; a sister Margaret Keeler of Moosic; two grandsons Dave Barthold, Jr and Tanner Begin; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter Donna Zymblosky; brothers William and Robert Bartels and a sister Clare Jean Jones.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart and the Riverside Rehab and Nursing Center for the dedicated and compassionate care shown to Dolly while she was in their care.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Vanston and James Funeral Home and were officiated by Rev. Patrick McLaughlin.
Interment was held in Cathedral Cemetery.
