Kay Judge, South Scranton, died early Friday morning in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. She was the widow of William Judge who died in 2002.
Born 1939 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Dunn Hogan. She was a graduate of the Scranton Public School System and went on to work at the Moses Taylor Hospital in the Environmental Services Department. She was of the Catholic faith.
Kay was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She loved her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She will be deeply missed by all who were have blessed to have known her but most by her loving children and sister.
Surviving are her daughters Kathleen Schwing and her husband Tom of New Freedom, PA and Ellen Judge of Scranton; her son Shawn Judge and his wife Bridget of Scranton; her sister Marion Rasieleski of Scranton; her grandchildren Edward Judge who resided with his Nana along with Catherine Schwing, Padraic Judge, Kelly Schwing, Kayleen and Grace Crowley and Lily Judge; sister in law Sally Sweeney; brothers in law Martin Judge and Jack Sweeney; several nieces and nephews.
Kay was also preceded in death by her son Edward in 1995; sisters Jean Warburton, Helen Sparrow, Joan Hogan and Dorothy Joyce; a brother John Hogan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. by Rev. Joseph Sica.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.
Interment, St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
