Ralph M. Kloss, Petersburgh section of Scranton, died Wednesday morning in the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania after an illness. His wife of 70 years was the former Anna Brown who died in 2013.
Born 1920 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Anna Hanstein Kloss. He was educated in Scranton schools and was of the Protestant faith. Ralph went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II on the South Pacific. He and his family were the owners of the Henrich’s Bakery in downtown Scranton.
The family would like to thank the entire staffs of the Jewish Home and the Geisinger Life program especially Patty Fenton for all of the excellent care given to Ralph.
Surviving are a daughter Annette McAndrew of Scranton; a son Richard Kloss of Dunedin, Florida; a foster daughter Carol Constantine who provided the family and Ralph with tremendous care and support; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death siblings Romaine and Helen Kloss, Elizabeth Polt, Laureen Connor and Peter Kloss, Jr.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
