Dorothy P. Smith, 100, of West Scranton, died Tuesday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton following a brief illness. Her husband was the late Leighton P. Smith.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Margaret James Perwein, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, and was a member of Embury United Methodist Church. She retired as a bookkeeper for P. Fricchione & Sons.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a long full life.
Surviving are daughters Linda Smith of Warwick, RI and Sue Kolinovsky and her husband Bob of Scranton; a son Tom and his wife Addie of Scranton; grandchildren Julie Maloney and her husband Jamie, Sherri D. Jones, Scott Villani and his wife Corina, Sherri A. Jones and her husband Michael, Matt Kolinovsky and his wife Amy, and Sarah Kolinovsky.
She was preceded in death by a brother Leo Perwein.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 10:00am in the Vanston & James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton with services by Rev. Brian H. Wallace of the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church.
Friends may call Thursday from 9:00-10:00am.
Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, S. Abington Twp.
