Warren “Butch” Ware

Warren “Butch” Ware, 60, Dunmore, died Friday evening in Geisinger Community Medical Center after a life long illness.

Born 1957 in Scranton he was the son of Winifred Mayer Ware of Taylor and the late Arthur Ware, Sr.  He was a graduate of the Riverside High School and prior to his passing he had been employed by Keystone Community Resources.  He was of the Catholic faith.

Butch was born as a “blue baby” and had a life filled with medical struggles and procedures including hearts surgeries and most recently a heart valve replacement.  But through all of his struggles Butch always worked very hard and had a positive attitude.

Also surviving are his daughters Jennifer Scarella, Samantha and Stephanie Ware; brothers Arthur, Jr., Jack, Jim, Tom and Michael Ware; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by grandsons Nathan and Kodi; a brother Robert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton by Rev. Joseph Sica.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the American Heart Association.

    my condolences to Jennifer, samntha Stephanie and winnifred. butch was a great man, wonderful dad and grand father. he will be missed greatly. even though we were divorced we still were friends. I would like to thank you butch for helping me bring three beautiful children into this world, they could not of had a better dad. to tommy and mike ,jimmy Jackie and artie my heartfelt sympathy to you at this time of your loss. fly high with the angels butch.
