Gregory Alan Madaus, 56, passed away on Friday, December 8. He was born on November 4, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of six he relocated with his mother and siblings to Whitehall where he lived with his grandmother, Ruth Roeder, also. He was a good baseball player in his youth. As a young man he enjoyed skiing, bowling, golfing and playing pool. Greg had many friends, some of whom have also passed on from the effect of addiction. Greg was respected and valued by his employers in warehouse distribution and often quickly moved into supervisory positions as he was organized and efficient.
Greg is survived by one sister, Diane married to James Buss; two brothers, John Madaus married to Judy Fryer, Gary Madaus married to Tina Kern; one stepmother, Janis Madaus; one niece, six nephews, two aunts, one uncle, six cousins, great nieces and a great nephew.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Richard C. Madaus and Phyllis (Roeder) Madaus.
Services will be private.
