Diann L. Brislin, of Sterling, died Friday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Hugh and Thelma Clark Rooney, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Lackawanna County Area Vocational Technical School. Prior to her retirement she was a LPN at St. Mary’s Villa, Elmhurst for many years.
She had an extremely caring and nurturing personality, and had the perseverance to fight through and overcome all obstacles that came her way in life. Her family was her inspiration throughout her life. She was an avid animal lover and always had a dog by her side. She also enjoyed antiquing, gardening, and painting. She will be missed by her dogs Biscuit and Piglet.
Surviving are three sons Thomas Brislin of Sterling, Robert Brislin and his wife Michelle of Dunmore, and Keith Brislin and his wife Julie of Throop; grandchildren Brina, Austin, and Ian; Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her daughter Maria Brislin, Sister Louise, and Brother Eugene.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:30am in the Vanston & James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton by Rev. Thomas Muldowney, V.G.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9:00am until time of service.
Interment, Clarks Green Cemetery, Clarks Green.
