William L. James, Jr., East Mountain, died Wednesday at home after an illness. His wife is the former Margaret Bevan. The couple would have been married 60 years in May.
Born 1936 in Scranton, he was the son of the late William L and Elizabeth Gaul James and was a graduate of the West Scranton High School class of 1955. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Prior to his reitrement he had been employed as a bus driver for Pete’s Garage and the Raritan Valley Bus Company of New Jersey. He was a member of the Hyde Park Lodge 339 F.&A.M.
The family would like to thank Allied Services Hospice for the kindness and support they showed to the family during the care they gave to Bill.
He was preceded in death by a son William L. James, III and a sister Margaret Churchill.
According to Bill’s wishes there will be no public services.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vanston and James Funeral Home and are under the care and direction of Robert C. James, funeral director.
