Beverly Jean Graff, 79, Moscow, formerly of West Scranton, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020. She was the widow of Joseph “Red” Graff, who passed away on May 14, 2020. The couple had been married 59 years.
Born January 12, 1941, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Reese Pfeiffer, Scranton. She was a 1958 graduate of West Scranton High School. She raised her family alongside her husband in West Scranton. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Taylor. Prior to retirement, she had been employed by the Golden Living Center in the housekeeping department.
Beverly had a zest for life. She was well known for being the life of any event. In her earlier years, she enjoyed going to dirt track races with her husband. She enjoyed shopping dates with her granddaughters, spending time with her family, and watching her grandson, Christopher’s, baseball games. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader. She was an amazing wife and grandmother, but her greatest title was “nanny.” She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy Graff, Moscow; and Christopher Graff and wife, Lisa, Moosic; three grandchildren, Shannon Quaile and her husband, Chuckie; Kelly Kelly and her husband, Jason; and Christopher Graff; three great-grandchildren, CJ Quaile, Joseph and Lillian Kelly; a brother, Wayne Pfeiffer, and wife, Nancy; a sister-in-law, Lois Pfeiffer; a brother-in-law, Bill Kathalynas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Red” Graff; brother, Joseph Pfeiffer; and sister, Barbara Kathalynas.
A joint service for Beverly and Red will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton by Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
All attending will be required to wear masks and observe all current CDC and State guidelines concerning the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
