Janet Gallagher Miller, 61, Minooka, passed away Monday morning in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit surrounded by her loving family.
Born 1959 she was the daughter of Dorothy Driscoll Gallagher and the late John Gallgher and was a graduate of the former Bishop Klonoski High School. Janet was of the Catholic faith. Prior to her illness, Janet had been employed by the Moses Taylor Hospital.
Janet was very proud of her Irish heritage and her large, loving Irish family. She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Also surviving are a son Tyler Miller of Scranton; sisters Nancy Culkin of Scranton, Lori Kelly and husband Joseph of Roaring Brook Twp.; brother Jay Gallagher and wife Ann Marie of Taylor; sister in law Rose Gallagher of Scranton; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; best friends Evie Rafalko McNulty, Lynn Osborne, Linda Breslin, Patti Mitchell and Katie Murray.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Patrick Gallagher; brother in law Joseph Culkin; nephew Geoffrey Culkin; great nieces McKinley Culkin and twins Gwyneth and Goldie Gallagher; best friend Lisa Frable.
The family requests that masks be worn inside the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton by Rev. Patrick McLaughlin, pastor.
Friends may call Saturday from 10am until time of Mass at the church.
Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made in Janet’s memory to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart 53 Glenmaura National Boulevard, Suite 102, Moosic, PA 18507.
