Jean Ann Moore

Jean Ann Moore, Scranton, passed away Saturday evening in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after a brief illness.   She was the widow of Walter D. Moore who passed away in 2016.  At the time of his passing the couple had been married 51 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of  the late Joseph and Helen Volski Santoli and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.   Prior to her retirement she had been employed by McKinney Products as well as the Golo Company.  

Jean enjoyed every moment of spending time with family.   She especially enjoyed the past few years with helping raise four of her seven great grandchildren daily. 

Surviving are a daughters Lori Taroli and Joann Hicks all of Scranton; a son David and his wife Dawn of Jefferson Twp; her sister Helen Oliver and her husband Chuck of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Stephanie, Nicholas, Ashley, Christopher, Lauren, Dale, Riley and Elizabeth;  seven great grandchildren; nephew Jay Oliver of Dallas, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by a son in law Ron Taroli.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated  Thursday   at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton by Rev. Patrick J.  McLaughlin, pastor.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston & James Funeral Home, Scranton.
