I never met Frances, but her daughter and son-in-law are some of my best friends and have adopted me as family in the DC area. The love and kindness they exhibit to me truly is rooted in the families they come from. Best wishes during this time for all of you!

We are so very sorry for the loss of a lovely lady. We are also dismayed that due to our confinement for Covid restrictions we are not able to be present for the mass celebrating Fran’s life. May Fran’s life continue to her beloved family.

Mrs. Phaneuf was like a second mother to me as a child, as I was good friends with her daughter Megan. She was always so very welcoming and kind and I am forever grateful for all the time spent at the Phaneuf home. So sorry to the entire family for her passing.

Our cousin FRANCES was such a sweet person and always smiling. We fondly recall traveling to Scranton from our home in Washington, D.C. during the summer to see the McSorley family members and other relatives. Their home on Academy St was such a warm and inviting home often filled with the aroma of Frances’ mom baking pies or cakes. Rest In Peace to our dear cousin. It’s been many years since I’ve visited with the Phaneufs but recall such great memories spending endless hours at their home and the LOVE that Frances had given me while spending time with her son David. My prayers go out to the family during this time of loss. It’s wonderful to know that she’s in heaven with our savior Jesus Christ, Praise God for such a wonderful woman that he laid on this earth. ?
