Mario Piccolino, Spring Brook Township, passed away Wednesday, January 5th, in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after fighting an illness. His wife is Josephine Piccolino.
Mario was born in Ausonia, Forsinone, Italy and was the son of the late Giovanni and Lucia Ambroselli Piccolino. Mario and his brothers started their family business, Buona Pizza, a staple of the Downtown Scranton Community.
Mario had a deep and abiding faith. He attended Mass regularly and was a devoted member of the St. Catherine of Siena Parish Community, Moscow. Mario was an unbelievable handyman, he could fix anything. He loved to cook, spend time in his garden, go fishing but most of all he was an incredible father.
Also surviving are sons Mario and Anthony Piccolino both of Spring Brook Township ; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by brothers Archangelo, Guido, Antonio and Americo Piccolino.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic all are asked to wear masks.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am in the St. Catherine of Siena Church 220 Church Street Moscow, PA 18444 by Rev. Thomas Muldowney, pastor.
Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9am until the time of Mass in the church.
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made to St Catherine of Siena Parish 220 Church St. Moscow, PA 18444.
