Deborah M. Maxson, a lifelong resident of Scranton, passed away Monday evening at The Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient following a long illness. Her husband of 48 years is Steven C. Maxson.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elvera Brustlin Wozniski and was educated in Scranton Schools District where she was a graduate of West Scranton High School.
Deb had been employed by the Firedex Company but the job she was most proud of was that of mom and grandmother.
Also surviving are her beloved daughter Lauren Maxson and granddaughter Ava Nesbeth; her brother John Wozinski and wife Patricia of Factoryville; sister Ilona (Wozinski) Leidig of California; sister in law Shirley Maxson Kraemer and husband Stanley of Scranton; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Stanley “Nick” Wozinski.
Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart 53 Glenmaura National Blvd, Suite 120, Moosic, PA 18507.
