Judith “Judi” Gentile, Scranton, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon in the Geisinger Community Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after an illness.
Born 1974 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Joan Kulick Gentile and the late Peter Gentile. She attended Scranton Technical High School and was a parishioner of the former Holy Family Church and upon its closing attended Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral.
Judi was a simple woman who loved her family, music and simply being happy. Her family would like to thank some of the most wonderful nurses on Ortho and the PCU for the compassion and care they showed Judi.
Also surviving are her daughter Kina Gentile, companion Juan Anderson, sister Teresa Kalinich and husband William, nephew Will, sister Christina Mackarevich, husband Andy, nephew Daulton, nieces Antonia and Morgan, Aunts, Uncle and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her infant son Aaron and brother Anthony ‘Chief’ Gentile.
A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 11:45am in the Chapel at Cathedral Cemetery, West Scranton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston and James Funeral Home, Scranton.
