Dorothy Driscoll Gallagher

Dorothy Driscoll Gallagher, 98, Minooka, passed away Thursday morning in the Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.   She was the widow of John Gallagher who passed away in 1995.

Born September 25, 1923 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marjorie Langan Driscoll.   Dorothy was a graduate of the Minooka High School and the Lackawanna Junior College.  She was a lifelong member of the Divine Mercy Parish, Minooka.

Dorothy was proud of her family and Irish heritage

Surviving are her son Jay Gallagher and his wife Ann Marie of Taylor; daughters Nancy Culkin of Scranton and Lori Kelly and her husband Joseph of Roaring Brook Township;  daughter in law Rose Gallagher of Scranton;  grandchildren; great grandchildren;

She was also preceded in death by her son Patrick Gallagher; daughter Janet Gallagher Miller;  son in law Joseph Culkin;  grandson Geoffrey Culkin;  great grandchildren McKinley Culkin and twins Gwenyth and Goldie Gallagher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30am in Divine Mercy Parish 312 Davis Street Scranton.

Friends may call Thursday from 9:30am until the time of Mass at the church.

Interment, parish cemetery.
