Jeremiah J. Garvey

Jeremiah J. Garvey, North Scranton, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at home.

Born 1988 in Scranton, he was the son of Charles Sr. and D’Anne Grogan Garvey. Jeremiah was a graduate of Scranton High School and was a member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish, North Scranton. He served honorably in the United States Army. Jeremiah will be deeply missed by all of whom were blessed to have known him.

Also surviving are his son, Charlie M. Garvey; brothers, Charles Garvey Jr. and his wife Rebecca, and Gregory Garvey and his wife Kaitlin; nieces and nephews, Brady, Jack, Gage and Lyvia; aunts; uncles; cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joseph X. and Mary Pfannenschmidt Garvey; and maternal grandparents, Francis J. and Alice Scott Grogan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, Mary, Mother of God Parish, 316 William St., Scranton.

Friends may call Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church. Military honors will be rendered immediately following the Mass. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.

    I am so sorry for your loss,I knew your son when I owned a bar in north scraton. Jeremy was a absolute joy and pleasure to be around and always made my day a bit brighter with that smile. I will remember him always. I hope he is resting in Heavenly Peace. I will keep you all in my prayers.
