Jane A. Clark

Jane A. Clark, Hill Section of Scranton, passed away peacefully in the Oak Ridge Nursing Home after an illness.

Born 1929 in Astoria, New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Robb Hanson and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School.  She was of the protestant faith.  Prior to her retirement, Jane had been employed as a secretary to the personnel director at the Scranton State General Hospital for 20 years. 

Jane was a wonderful person who loved to shop, especially at Gerrity’s, and cook for family and friends.  She will be missed by those who were blessed to have known her.

The family would like to thank and acknowledge the Hospice of the Sacred Heart nurses and staff who took such wonderful care of Jane.

Surviving is Jane’s daughter and caregiver Gail J. Clark; along with extended family and friends.

She is also preceded in death by her son Stephen.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St Scranton.

Friends may call Friday morning from 10am until the time of the service in the funeral home.

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Gail requests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart 32 ED Preate Dr., Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
