Kenneth Borzacchini

Kenneth “Kenny” Joseph Borzacchini, 70, the unofficial Mayor of White Mills, passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024, after sustaining injuries in a tragic scooter accident.

Born February 27, 1954, in Yonkers, he was the son of the late Freddy and Isabella Borzacchini.  Kenny was a man whose spirit, warmth and unmatched humor touched everyone he met.  Little is known of his early years, except the stories he loved to tell – stories that painted a picture of a tough, resilient childhood in Yonkers that forged the strength, confidence and toughness that defined him throughout his life.  He moved many times over the years, locally in Waymart, Hawley and finally settling in his adopted hometown of White Mills.

Kenny was a man who knew no strangers.  He built a vast network of family and friends.  Whether he used an endearing, funny or sometimes brutal nickname for someone, it was his way of showing affection.  His quick wit, imagination and endless stories – some so wild they could only have happened to him – made him unforgettable.  His mischievous side and love for fun were ever present, always willing to lend a hand or poke fun at those around him.

Kenny was a good man – kindhearted, quick to smile and laugh, and never shying away from a challenge.  His rebellious spirit, fearless attitude and unique presence will be remembered by all who knew him.  He had a way of making those around him feel loved and cherished.  His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have shared in his life.

The generosity of the community that was shown after Kenny’s death is truly humbling and appreciated.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 8th at 11:30am in the Indian Orchard Cemetery, Route 6, Honesdale.

In the words of Kenny, “Don’t worry about me, worry about yourself!”
