Justin James Baker, age 12, passed away on February 7, 2025 with Grandma and staff by his side. Justin was born on October 2, 2012 and moved to Saint Joseph’s Center on September 3, 2015. Those who knew him as a toddler will remember his blonde curls, bright blue eyes, and beautiful smile.
He is survived by his beloved grandmother Becky Glemboski and her husband Victor Glemboski; parents Jessica Muzzy and Justin Baker, brothers Jason and Jacob Baker; his Aunt Lyshie and Uncle Cody; as well as paternal grandfather James Baker; Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Justin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Darlene Canfield and Kevin Muzzy; and his paternal great-grandparents Annette and Charles Boice.
Justin was happiest when Grandma Becky was with him. Her presence and voice were gifts to him. She said, “he had a ‘sweet soul’ and he loved everyone unconditionally.” He also enjoyed sensory lights, 70’s rock music and being outdoors on the swing. Justin enjoyed the ‘chaotic’ situations: the staff in his unit running around at his beck and call, or his brothers and cousins running and playing games.
Friends and family may call Friday, February 14 from 10-11AM in the chapel at Saint Joseph Center. A memorial service will follow at 11:30AM in the Cognetti Room at St. Joseph’s Center.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Saint Joseph Center for their love and care shown to Justin throughout his lifetime, the staff at Geisinger Danville for the care and compassion when he needed it the most, and also Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the care they have shown he and the family through his final time of need.
Memorial donations can be made in Justin’s name to Saint Joseph’s Center 2010 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509 or Hospice of the Sacred Heart 100 William St. Dunmore, PA 18510.
