Robert W. Martin, Montdale, died Monday evening in the Marian Community Hospital. His wife was the former Shirley Walsh who died in 2009.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Amos and Edith Rogers Martin. He was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. He was of the Catholic faith. Prior to retirement he had been employed by various local trucking companies as a truck driver. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time golfing and being at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. He was United Sates Navy veteran.
Surviving are sons Michael of Kingston, Mark of Scott Twp., and Keith of Childs; daughters Kimberly of Mocanaqua and Maureen of Cortez; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a son Robert, Jr; a brother Donald; a sister Audrey.
A Blessing Service will be held Friday at 11am in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St Scranton.
Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00am until time of service.
Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale.
