Joyce E. Megargle

Joyce E. Megargle, a resident of St. Mary’s Villa Residence, formerly of Paul Ave. Scranton, died early Tuesday morning. She was the widow of Sheldon B. Megargle who died April 15, 2008.
Born in 1935 in Scranton she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Pabst Miller. She was educated in Scranton public schools and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. Prior to retirement she had been employed by the International Salt Company. She was a devoted member of the Myrtle Street United Methodist Church where she had been active in many of its groups.
Surviving are a sister Susan Barton of Downingtown; a niece Linda Kellock of Hazelton; nephews Todd R. Hartman of Pottstown and David Kellock of Olyphant.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Kellock who died in 2011.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30am in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton with services by Rev. Betty Reilly.
Friends may call Saturday morning from 9am until time of service.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
