Jane Gardier Haller, Dunmore, passed away at her home Thursday morning.  Jane, who had been in declining health for several years, was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

            

Born on June 2, 1925, Jane was the daughter of the late Christopher C. Gardier, Sr and Evelyn Harrity Gardier.   She was a graduate of Marywood Seminary and Marywood College.  For many years, Jane resided in the Allentown area and was an excellent wife, mother and homemaker.  Later she had been employed as a dietician for the Bethlehem School District.  In 2007 she returned to Dunmore.  She was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.  She had a special devotion to St. Jude and gave generously to the Lakota children at St. Joseph’s Indian School.

            

The family would like to thank her physicians, Comprehensive Medical Care, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Telespond, Meals on Wheels and her residential caregivers who made it possible for Jane to remain at home.

            

Surviving are a son Harry Haller, III and his wife Chris of Jim Thorpe; a son in law John Del Villaggio of Bethlehem; a sister Evelyn Margaret Barrett of Dunmore; a cousin Frank de la Reguera of Maryland; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.

            

She was preceded in death by a daughter Karen A. Del Villaggio; a grandson Richard Haller; a brother Christopher C. Gardier, Jr; her former husband Harry Haller, Jr.

            

Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30am in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore.

            

Friends may call Monday morning from 8:30am until the time of Mass at the chucrh.

            

Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.

            

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Poor 2300 Adams Ave. Scranton 18509.

            

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Vanston and James Funeral Home, Ash St Scranton.

    So sorry John about the passing of your Aunt Jane………………. she was such a wonderful lady, and person I will never ever forget or her beautiful smile she always had…………… and I’m so happy I met such a beautiful wonderful caring person in the world…………. RIP Jane you will be missed and definitely never ever forgotten you were a doll………… and we also had the same exact Birthdays as well, deepest sympathy to each and eone of you!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

    Grammy i loved you more then you may have know……….and my deepest sympathy and thanks to the rest of her family in Dunmore. I know she was well loved and cared for in her time of sickness and I thank all of you for that. She will be missed by us all. :,,(
