Walter D. Moore of Scranton died Tuesday morning at home following an illness. His wife is the former Jean Ann Santoli. The couple had been married 51 years.
Born in Twin Falls, ID, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He had worked as a machine operator for McKinney Products. He was a member of the 606 Club, Trout Unlimited, and was an assistant Scout Master for Troop 84.
The family would like to thank Traditional Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care.
Also surviving are a daughter Lori Taroli and her husband Ron and Joann Hicks all of Scranton; a son David and his wife Dawn of Jefferson Twp.; a brother Gary Moore of Johnson City, NY; a sister-in-law Helen Oliver and her husband James of Plano, TX; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; a nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton by Rev. Patrick J. McLaughlin, pastor.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview
Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston & James Funeral Home, Scranton.
