Ethel Kizer Bisignani, a resident of the Linwood Manor, passed away Monday evening after an illness. She was the widow of Joseph Bisignani Sr. who passed away in 2011.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Cowell Kizer. She was a waitress at various restaurants primarily at Shookey’s Deli. She was a member of the St. Ann Basilica Parish.
Also surviving are sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife Gina; and William; daughters, Robin Kresge and husband Robert; Dianna Litts and husband Garry; Donna Bukoski; Susan Caswell and husband Dominick; and Linda Ross and husband Dennis; sister, Doris Fuller; brother, Gordon Kizer; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roseann Bentler; and son, Edward; grandson, Tyler Ross; brothers, Andrew, Harry, Joseph and Norman Kizer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. in the St. Ann Basilica, 1250 St. Ann St., Scranton. All attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton.
