Janet C. Saar, Scranton, died Tuesday morning in the Allied Services Hospice Center after an illness.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George and Esther Kleeman Saar. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School class of 1960. After graduation, she worked at Casual Sportswear and the Community Medical Center where she retired from in 2001. After her retirement, she worked part time at Wegman’s, Dickson City.
She was a member of the St. Matthew’s United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister.
As per Janet’s request there will be no viewing and funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

I lived next door to Janet when I was very young. I was the youngest of 6 kids and Janet ‘adopted’ me. She made me feel very special and provided me with many wonderful memories. She was kind and generous as was Esther and George. May you rest in Peace my friend. I love you
