Olive H. Naro

Olive H. Naro, Covington Twp., passed away Tuesday morning at home with her loving husband, Angelo Naro Sr., by her side. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in November.


Born in 1933, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Iva Edwards Mead. Olive was employed by JCPenney’s in sales and then began a long career at Penn Security Bank in Moscow.


Throughout her life Olive enjoyed sewing, oil painting, gardening, cooking wonderful meals and traveling with her husband, Angelo.


The family would like to thank the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice and caregivers, Patti and Keli, for the outstanding care given to Olive in her final days.


Also surviving are children, Terry Reese and wife, Nancy; Cynthia Reese Greider and husband, Ken; Shawn Reese and wife, Eleanor; stepchildren, Evamari Hennigan, Angelo Jr.; Melanie and companion, Ibrahim Sanverer; and Lizabeth Naro; grandchildren, Sarah and Jessica Reese, Erin Reese, Rachel and Hannah Greider, Phillip Greider and Julia Reese; stepgrandchildren, Mandy Henderson and husband, John; Michael Gardier, Tommy and Shane Hennigan, Colin Holmes and Angelo M. Naro; nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her son, David; and siblings, Richard and Ellis Mead, Elsie Parry and Margaret Elias.


Services and interment were private at the convenience of the family.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1444 East Lackawanna Ave., Suite 218, Olyphant, PA 18447.
