Barbara Roberts, East Mountain section of Scranton, passed away Thursday morning at the home of her daughter Debbie after an illness. She was the widow of Daniel G. Roberts, Sr. who passed away in 2002.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Pfaff Golo and was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Allied Services in the Admissions Department.
Surviving are her daughter Elizabeth “Debbie” Loughney and her husband Mike; sons Daniel G. Roberts, Jr. and his wife Dr. Maxine and Dr. David Roberts and his wife Marnie; grandchildren Lauren Meyers and her husband Mike, Kristen Loughney and Sarah Loughney, Evan Roberts and Dana Roberts; great grandchildren Michael and Charleigh Meyers.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Edward Golo, Jr and Joseph Golo
The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care they afforded to Barbara while she was in their care.
Services and interment, private at the convenience of the family.
