Joseph W. Bisignani, Sr., South Scranton, died Friday morning in the Mercy Hospital. His wife is the former Ethel Kizer.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Adam and Anna Cimino Bisgnani. He was educated in Scranton Schools. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St Ann’s Basilica. Prior to retirement he had been employed in the maintenance department of the former Gould Battery Company. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran earning the rank of sergeant.
He was very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are sons Joseph, Jr of Kingsley and William of Scranton; daughters Robin Kresge and husband Robert of Scranton, Donna Bukoski of Scranton, Dianna Litts and her husband Garry, Susan Caswell and her husband Dominick and Linda Ross and her husband Dennis; three brothers Thomas and Robert of Scranton and William of New York; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter Roseann Bentler, a grandson Tyler Ross and a brother Rudy.
All attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am in St. Ann’s Basilica Saint Ann St. West Scranton.
